MYami Band
Caterina Papadopulos is a Miami-based music educator and free lance French horn performer. A proud alumna of Miami school and community music programs, including Greater Miami Youth Symphony. Ms. Papadopulos is thrilled to return to GMYS as a faculty member working with the MYAMI Prep Band Program. Ms. Papadopulos earned her Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music with departmental honors, and her Master of Music Education from Florida State University. She has served as the Director of Instrumental Ensembles at Ronald W. Reagan/Doral SHS since 2019, where she was recognized as Rookie Teacher of the Year in 2021.
Ms. Papadopulos is passionate about the accessibility of music education and fostering lifelong music learning for all children. Ms. Papadopulos is an active member of the Florida Bandmasters Association where she has served on the Executive Board for District 16. She is also a member of the Florida Orchestra Association, and the Florida Music Education Association, where she was recognized as an Emerging Leader in 2022. Ms. Papadopulos has had students accepted into Florida All-State and has regularly participated in district and state Music Performance Assessments (Concert and Solo and Ensembles).
