Donald Mills has been a Miami Dade County Public School Teacher for 28 years. Mr. Mills
graduated from Miami Southridge Senior High where he was the Silver Knight nominee in Music. After High School Mr. Mills went on to F.I.U. where he studied with Arturo Sandoval and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. Mr. Mills also holds a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Florida TLSI program.
Throughout his career, Mr. Mills has been recognized as a Sallie Mae Beginning Teacher of the Year, and Francisco Walker Teacher of the Year. His ensembles have received Superior ratings, and his groups have won numerous competitions.
Mr. Mills has been married to his lovely wife Janice who is also a teacher for 28 years and has three amazing children Hannah, Molly, and Donald.
